Marqués de Cruïlles

The city of Valencia will have its first residential building with Green Certification and Energy Rating A with the construction of the Marqués de Cruïlles building, at 105 Cuenca Street, in the heart of the Patraix neighborhood, which began this week and will last for 18 months. When completed, it will be the first residential building in Valencia with the A energy certificate, awarded by the Green Building Council Spain (GBCE), where it was registered on January 31, 2017. In all of Spain, there are currently only 66 buildings with the aforementioned green certification. Of these, only nine are residential blocks and until now, there were none in Valencia.

These properties focus on sustainability from the design and construction process, have high energy efficiency and a much lower than average maintenance cost.

Specifically, the building has been designed to reduce heating demand by 96.47% and cooling demand by 15.6%, in accordance with the standards required by the Technical Building Code. To be completely green, the building will have air conditioning and DHW (domestic hot water) production systems using aerothermal energy, which reduce CO2 emissions by 37.49%, high-efficiency equipment, radiant floors, solar-controlled glazing, ventilated facades finished with natural stone, mechanical ventilation systems with energy recovery and water-saving systems in faucets and toilets, among other features.
